Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to support and manage client environments across multiple regions and time zones. You will work directly with customers, diagnose issues, and take ownership of infrastructure stability, performance, and security.

This role requires strong real-world troubleshooting ability, ownership mindset, and independent decision-making, especially in environments that may not always be fully documented or optimized.

We prioritize candidates with real hands-on experience over theoretical knowledge or certifications.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Singapore Time, GMT+8)

  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Singapore Time, GMT+8)

  • Public Holidays: Based on your local country

  • You are expected to be available and responsive during these hours for coordination and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 / Level 3 IT support for end-users and infrastructure

  • Deploy, manage, and maintain Windows servers, Active Directory, and network infrastructure

  • Troubleshoot issues related to:

    • Active Directory (AD), GPOs, OUs

    • Windows Server environments

    • Endpoint and user access issues

  • Take full ownership of incidents, from investigation to resolution

  • Work in environments with incomplete documentation, identifying gaps and improving systems over time

  • Produce onboarding and maintenance reports for clients

  • Maintain accurate system documentation, asset tracking, and ticketing records

  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Monitor and manage:

    • System security

    • Backup systems

    • Network access controls

  • Participate in after-hours emergency support and project deployments

  • Liaise with third-party vendors for support, procurement, and escalation

  • Write and maintain technical documentation and runbooks

  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and ITIL best practices

  • Recommend and implement infrastructure improvements

  • Balance technical decisions with cost, risk, and business needs

AI & Modern Tooling Expectatins

We expect candidates to be comfortable using modern tools to improve efficiency:

  • Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to assist with scripting, troubleshooting, and documentation

  • Apply critical judgment — validate and verify AI-generated outputs before using them in production environments

Over-reliance on AI tools without validation is not acceptable in this role.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate IT environment

  • Strong experience with:

    • Windows Server environments

    • Active Directory (AD), GPOs, OUs

    • Microsoft 365

    • Basic networking and infrastructure

  • Experience troubleshooting real-world, production issues under pressure

  • Proficiency in:

    • PowerShell and/or command-line scripting

  • Ability to:

    • Work independently in a remote environment

    • Make decisions with incomplete or unclear information

    • Prioritize multiple competing issues effectively

  • Strong communication skills:

    • Explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical users

    • Communicate effectively during incidents and uncertainty

  • High level of ownership and accountability

  • Experience managing:

    • Multi-location environments

    • Users across different time zones

  • Familiarity with ITIL practices

  • Certifications (optional but advantageous):

    • ITIL v4

    • CCNA

Remote Work Expectations

  • Reliable high-speed internet (500 Mbps preferred) with minimal downtime

  • Backup connectivity is strongly encouraged

  • Must remain available on Microsoft Teams during working hours

  • High discipline and responsiveness in a fully remote setup

Other Considerations

  • Experience coordinating with on-site personnel remotely

  • Ability to manage hardware/software sourcing and vendor communication

  • Strong follow-through — tasks are expected to be completed without constant supervision
